I’ve never identified with an art student owl as much as this one. Animators are the decomposers of the art school food web, serving much the same purpose as cockroaches, bacteria, and fungi.
I can relate.

First Adventure Time Toys to Premiere at Comic-Con
Are you heading to San Diego next week for Comic-Con? You should. The place will be a veritable Ooo. Example: there’s going to be an Adventure Time panel on Saturday, 7/23, with Pen Ward, Jeremy Shada (Finn), Hynden Walch (Princess Bubblegum), Olivia Olson (Marceline), head writer Kent Osborne, and more. You’ll also be able to collect all the swag that’ll be going around including exclusive buttons and tattoos. And don’t miss the chance to take part in the open casting call to audition as your favorite Adventure Time character. In addition, from Cartoon Network’s press department:
Visit the Cartoon Network Pizzeria (Ciro’s Pizzeria, 536 Market Street , Between 5 th and 6 th in the Gaslamp Quarter) from Wednesday, July 20–Sunday, July 24 for a unique, fully immersive takeover. The restaurant brings you into the world of Adventure Time with floor-to-ceiling décor, episodes and clips, and a custom Jake plush free with purchase throughout the entire convention (while supplies last).
And if that weren’t enough to make your head spin, the Entertainment Earth booth (#2343) will be selling the very first items from the brand new Adventure Time toyline from Jazwares, this before they’ll be available at Toys ‘R’ Us next month. The two-inch Finn & Jake two-figure set above will be selling for just $10 (cheap!). AND Pen will be signing at the booth from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Thanks to the folks at Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network Enterprises for all the work in supporting the show. It’s going to be a blast.
Adventure Time Coming to DVD - With New, More Correct Information
So it turns out today’s Cartoon Network press release wasn’t entirely accurate. Instead of containing the dozen season one episodes reported, the upcoming DVD will include six eleven-minute shorts from the first season and another six from season two. Here’s the correct line-up, and by that we mean correct as it stands today. If that cover doesn’t change, too, pigs will fly. Still look for September 27, 2011, for the big release, though.
